A show-stopping schedule for the 150th Nice Carnival
2023 is going to be an amazing year in Nice when it comes to events! Nice sets the scene for the world's biggest sporting and cultural events including the 150th anniversary of the Nice Carnival, Rugby World Cup and Ironman World Championship.
This year it's the 150th anniversary of the Nice Carnival and the city is pulling out all the stops with a show-stopping great parade to get the party started. Be there at 2.30pm on Saturday February 11th to experience the imaginary fairytale world of the "ymagier" designers and carnival acts.
The opening ceremony sees the King arrive on Place Masséna and the inauguration of the Carnival Village on Promenade du Paillon (free and open daily) at 6.30pm on Friday February 10th (free for locals).

Illuminated Carnival Corso
Feast your eyes on the floats inspired by the King of the World's Treasures theme every Saturday and Tuesday at 8.30pm (1.5 hr duration). The lights come on at night to dazzle children and adults with a feast of sound and light. Street performers and bands of all genres from all over the world put on a colourful and fun-filled family show.

Flower battles
Every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday from 2.30pm or 3pm, watch the parade of floats covered with floral designs strut down the Promenade des Anglais under the Nice sunshine. The performers wear fabulous costumes and dance on colourful structures as they rain flowers down on spectators. A sensory extravaganza bursting with floral scents, music and colour.

See you at 8.30pm on Friday February 17th 2023 for the biggest gay carnival in France. Everybody's welcome to the free carnival that celebrates togetherness, inclusion and diversity. On the agenda: OTT parades, glitz and glitter, fluffy feathers and colourful performers joined by funny creatures on Place Masséna.

The Rio Carnival comes to Nice for the party
