Fancy kicking off the year with a sporting challenge? The Prom’ Classic is one of the region's most popular sporting events with up to 10,000 runners at every race. You can be timed or not, the choice is yours! That's why runners of all abilities love it. You have to run the length of the fabulous Promenade des Anglais and back again. The views are so amazing you almost forget you're in a race. The atmosphere is buzzing, everyone's in a good mood, the weather's always great... it's the best way to kick off the New Year!

The Nice Half Marathon is another of the region's biggest sporting events. Runners race in an idyllic setting on the Promenade des Anglais. Place Masséna plays host to the Running Village throughout the race weekend. The village celebrates the world of running and you can meet the race partners here.

There are different runs to suit your mood and ability.

Haribo Family Run: A 1.5km active walk ideal for family fun time! Once you reach the finish line you get Haribo sweets to reward your effort. There's also a special Haribo run for 1-13 year olds (1.5km) and one for 7-9 year olds (1km). All race entrants get a goodie bag: special 30th anniversary collector's t-shirt, Haribo cap and more.

There's also a 5km run (timed or not), a 10km run and the legendary half marathon (21.1km). Which will you tackle?

 

Distance : 3.6km swim, 180km bike ride, 42.1km run

The Nice Ironman is a world famous triathlon and one of the toughest sporting events around. With a swim in the Mediterraneanrun on the Promenade des Anglais and bike ride in the Nice hinterland, the Ironman is your chance to have a once in a lifetime sporting adventure in a dream location. The triathletes start on Plage du Centenaire beach in Nice then swim for 3.8km, ride from the Promenade des Anglais to the hills around Nice (Vallée du Loup, Col de l’Ecre etc.) and end with a 42km run on the Promenade des Anglais. Action-packed!

With over 150,000 runners from 60 nations since launching in 2008, the French Riviera Marathon is one of the most popular marathons in FranceThe seaside race in the warm Riviera weather has earned the French Riviera Marathon its fair share of fans. The route starts on the Promenade des Anglais and runs along the coast to La Croisette. Runners zip through Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes Juan-les-Pins, Vallauris Golfe-Juan and last but not least, Cannes. 

The race is open to pairs (2 x 21.1km), relay runners and para athletes.
